Lake Latoka Lake Management Plan
The Lake Latoka Lake Management Plan has been completed. The Lake Management Plan provides lake description, brief history, and pertinent lake data. More importantly it defines what is important to the Lake Latoka Property Owners Association (LLPOA). It provides a direction to where the LLPOA Board needs to focus and it serves as a guide for everyone in leading to the protection of our lake and resources. Having a complete lake management plan can be a valuable resource when applying for available grant monies. The Lake Management Plan has been sent to the Douglas County Land and Resource Management and the Douglas County Soil and Water Conservation District for incorporation into the Douglas County Water Plan where appropriate. Aquatic Invasive Species: A Minnesota Handbook
The new “Aquatic Invasive Species: A Minnesota Handbook” provides quick reference information on several aquatic invasive species (AIS) found in Minnesota lakes. The handbook includes photos to help identify AIS, what to look for, and best time to search for them. It is a handy reference guide. Click here to view the complete handbook.
